Install the Software

The deliverable is either a zip file on a CD or downloaded from a web address. To install the software:

· Unzip “CD:\IFSurveillance2013.zip” to a folder;

· Click “IFSurveillance2013.exe” in the folder to run.

The software requires:

· Updated Windows;

· Microsoft DirectX,

· A camera supported by Windows.

Statement of Copyright Restriction

The Attrasoft program that you purchased is copyrighted by Attrasoft, and your rights of ownership are subject to the limitations and restrictions imposed by the copyright laws outlined below.

It is against the law to copy, reproduce or transmit (including, without limitation, electronic transmission over any network) any part of the program except as permitted by the copyright act of the United States (title 17, United States code). However, you are permitted by law to write the contents of the program into the Machine memory of your computer so that the program may be executed. You are also permitted by law to make a back-up copy of the program subject to the following restrictions:

· Each back-up copy must be treated in the same way as the original copy purchased from Attrasoft;

· No copy (original, or back-up) may be used while another copy, (original, or back-up) is in use;

· If you ever sell or give away the original copy of the program, all back-up copies must also be given to the same person, or destroyed.

In addition, this software is for the personal use only. This is defined as follows:

· You cannot sell a service based any computation results produced by this software. You must purchase a separate annual license for commercial use from Attrasoft.

· You cannot use the software to perform work for which you will get paid for. You must purchase a separate annual license for business use from Attrasoft.

1. Introduction

Attrasoft IFSurveillance (Figure 1) is a Home Video Surveillance Software. It monitors your home automatically, and lets you see the results in a single click.

The software has only four buttons:

· To start, click the Start button;

· To stop, click the Stop button;

· To see the results, click the Results button;

· To improve the result, click the Parameter button.

The benefit of this surveillance software is to save you time. Instead of looking at hours after hours of video, in a single click (Clicking the result button), the software simply presents you with alert images only so you can see 10 hours of surveillance in 10 seconds.

The deliverable is either a zip file on a CD or downloaded from a web address. To install the software:

· Unzip “CD:\IFSurveillance2013.zip” to a folder;

· Click “IFSurveillance2013.exe” in the folder to run.

The software requires:

· Updated Windows;

· Microsoft DirectX;

· A camera supported by .Net Framework.

If you have several cameras, the software will select one camera randomly. If you do not install Microsoft DirectX, you will get an error message box.

2. Start and Stop

When you want to start, click the Start button; when you want to stop, click the Stop button.

3. Surveillance Results

The “Results” button will simply open the folder that contains the alert images.

4. Tweaking Parameters

There are four steps to tweak the parameters; these steps can be repeated as many times as you want.

Step 1. Click button “Open this folder, remove old contents”.

Make sure all of the old contents from earlier tweaking are removed from this folder. You will copy new data to here in the following steps.

Step 2. Click button “2. Open Results folder, get rid of real alarms and keep only false alarm images”.

This button will open the result image folder. At the beginning, there will be some false alarm images. A few quick tweaks will get rid of these false alarms. Now, save the true alarm images elsewhere if you want to keep them, or delete the true alarm images if you do not want to keep them. Now the only images left are false alarm images, which will be used to tweak the software.

Step 3. Copy folder in step 2 to folder in step 1.

This will place the false alarm images in the correct place.

Step 4. Click button “4. Adaptive adjustment, wait until you see "Retraining End!" in the text box.”

This will automatically tweak the internal parameters for you. Wait until you see “Retraining End” in the text box in the IF Surveillance software in Figure 7.

5. Customized Software and Services

This software matches a whole image against a whole image. It is possible that your requirements will go beyond whole image against whole image; for example, matching only specific areas while allowing other areas to change. It is also possible to use more cameras. Attrasoft can customize the software for your requirements.
