Image Normalization is to make all images appear to be regular.
For example, if you use a camera to take a picture, you need to take the images under the exact same conditions. Do Not change the zoom focus when taking the picture, because even though the image looks the same, changing the zoom will change the scale.
Normalization attempts to eliminate variations. Common variations are:
-
Size;
-
Color;
-
Light;
-
Shifts (up, down, left, right);
-
Scale (bigger, smaller)
-
Z-Rotation;
-
X- and y-rotation;
-
Stretch (vertical, horizontal);
-
Skew (vertical, horizontal)
For example, if a trademark appears anywhere in an image, then these trademark images are not normalized.
There are several ways to normalize images. Ideally, you want the images to contain only content, but not background or noise.

Can you send me some more detail regarding the integration, costs, etc.?
(3) Preliminary Assessment via our off-the-shelf software,
the ImageFinder.
-
You
should get Identification Rates ranging from 60% to 89%. The best rate, one
of our customers (without any customization) was able to obtain, was an
89% Identification Rate.
-
Note:
The off-the-shelf ImageFinder has 70 open parameters for users to adjust
which is the reason customers are only able to achieve Identification
Rates ranging from 60% to 89%.
-
Note:
The ImageFinder itself has 3,000+ internal parameters which users have no
access to; customization is the process of adjusting these 3,000+ internal
parameters for your specific image type; this is where the high degree of
accuracy for your specific image type is obtained.

Attrasoft
will develop a stand-alone software, which will address the special needs
of your application.

This
will allow you to show your upper management the practicality of a larger
project.

Where Do I Start?
We assume you have already completed or are in the
process of completing step 1 and 2. The next step is called Preliminary
Assessment. In this step, you test out your idea with our standalone software,
the ImageFinder. If some additional work needs to be done, we will move to step
(4), Feasibility Study.
Only after the testing with our standalone software
(ImageFinder) is successful, you will then move into system integration.
So, if you have not done so, we recommend you start collecting data, and work
with Attrasoft to do steps (1), (2), and (3).
The software,
ImageFinder, cost $500. We also recommend an "ImageFinder Level I
Service" to go with it, which costs $1000. After that, you should be able to
operate the software without any further difficulties.
